Handwritten and signed letter, dated 14 Nov. 1866, and addressed to George Q. Cannon, an apostle in the Mormon Church. Crosby writes to Cannon concerning a transfer of funds through the cotton factory. In a postscript Crosby mentions attacks by Indians in Long Valley, Utah.

Jesse Crosby was born on 25 November 1820 in Yarmouth, Nova Scotia, British America, to Joshua and Hannah Crosby. His family moved to New York where he later joined the LDS Church.
